Project highlights from 2025...
Moving into 2026, we wanted to look back on some of our project highlights from the second half of 2025. GJ Elgar has continued to deliver a diverse range of construction, refurbishment and groundworks projects across the South East. From agricultural developments to specialist steel frame and industrial builds, our team has remained focused on quality, efficiency and attention to detail on every site.

1. Green Goose Farm - Sheeting & Groundworks
At Green Goose Farm, our team carried out an extensive refurbishment project covering drainage, groundworks and sheeting works. By bringing the building up to date, the site has been completely rejuvenated. This project highlights our ability to successfully combine maintenance and refurbishment with high-quality construction techniques.
2. New Timber-Clad Cattle Barn – Ringshill Farm
Our latest agricultural project at Ringshill Farm involved the construction of a new timber-clad cattle barn. To achieve a level floor and yard area, we regraded the existing hillside and completed extensive concrete yard and drainage works. The result is a fully functional and durable space, purpose-built to meet modern farming requirements.
3. Complete Steel-Frame Building
From start to finish, we transformed this site with the construction of a complete steel-frame building. The project included full cladding installation, a new roller shutter door and guttering. This build demonstrates our capability to deliver comprehensive structural solutions that combine strength, durability and a professional finish.

4. Mansfield - Cold Store Development
For leading Kent grower and packer Mansfields, choosing a contractor came down to a long-standing and trusted relationship. The latest project delivered by our team involved demolishing a 1970s timber-framed storage building and replacing it with a modern, insulated cold store block.
The new steel-framed facility features five controlled atmosphere stores and a chilled tunnel, providing capacity for 5,500 bins of fruit and supporting Mansfields’ ongoing operational growth.
5. Fireproof Mezzanine Floor
Our groundworks team recently completed the formation of a fireproof mezzanine floor at one of our projects in Kent. The works required careful planning, precise execution and specialist construction techniques to ensure full safety compliance and long-term durability.
